Hi, I'm Alexia and I'm a photographer 

  Hi, My name is Alexia Duran and I'm a photographer.  I live in a small town called Cobden, IL. I had a passsion for photography at the age of 14 during my middle school year. I'm currently a Senior at Cobden High School and photography has been my passion for years now. I began photography because you get to meet new people and work with them. I look at life through a lens, live in the moment, and experience new locations.

Why do I like photography? I learn that a picture can tell a thousand words and it reminds me of books. Each picture holds a memory; each book holds a story.  Like books, a picture takes me out of reality and brings me back to that time or makes me wish I was there again. Pictures hold a memory of my life so that I certainly will never forget. I suppose photography is just a method for release from worries of soccer, college applications, universities, leaving and stuff... a chance to forget. Everyone kept asking me to major in photography. At first it was just a hobby to me, but eventually the more I thought about it, the more I considered, the more I confirmed it to myself. Why not major in something that you love?
